I get silly ideas to turn my friends into characters, adding "arrrrr" to the end of the name is a great precursor to drawing them as a pirate. Ideas came on the fly, the squid bun, in particular, evolved so nicely! The classic parrot had to be done, influenced by Rocky, the Looney Tunes mobster with an oversized hat likewise, this birb definitely isn't overcompensating. The clothes were designed based on Indian kurtas with their high collars and tentacle shapes for that squidy/Kraken look.
