Gibraltar Literary Festival - Commonwealth Park Feature

Produced at Wright Tech Media for the Gibunco Gibraltar International Literary Festival 2017. I produced a series of illustrations based on the destinations of Gibraltar and festival areas. The aim was to highlight the beauty of the destination and promote reading. Each location features a character reading and enjoying the space.

I photographed the area to capture the full width of the environment. Using the result as a reference, I drew the piece in photoshop. The piece originally featured more characters with the intention of depicting an outdoor class reading. It was later reduced to show a father and kids reading together.

The artwork features Commonwealth Park, a landscaped park nestled within the old city walls which provides a peaceful green recreational area in the heart of town.
